Microplastics Eco-Talk

Did you know that an estimated 5 TRILLION particles of microplastics pollute our oceans? Join us in learning about microplastics as part of our 2020 Creeks to Coast Cleanup Event! On August 18th, 2020 three speakers joined our virtual panel to discuss the importance of educating people and taking action on microplastics.

Panelists include Rikki Eriksen, Marine Ecologist, Taylor Lane, Industrial Designer and Creator of the Cigarette Surfboard and Evelyn Barajas Perez, Marine Microplastic Educator. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about this issue, the work that these three California residents have done related to this topic, and how we can all make changes in our daily lives to help protect our oceans.

You can access the program below or on our ECOSLO Youtube page - we hope you learn something new and spread the word!
