SLO County Green Awards 2008
Celebrating and promoting green business practices along the Central Coast
On Thursday, November 14th, over 100 community members attended the inaugural SLO County Green Awards Luncheon. The event, hosted by the chamber was a chance to recognize businesses and organizations which show leadership in environmentally friendly business practices. ECOSLO's executive director, Morgan Rafferty weighed in on over 50 nominations, to help choose the 6 winners. Morgan is a member of the Chambers Sustainability and resource committee.

The luncheon was held at Congregation Beth David, a LEED certified building. The keynote speech was delivered by Jim Dee, owner of the Palm Theatre, which became the nation's first solar powered theatre in 2004.
