Speak out against proposed hunting of Red Foxes
The Fish and Game Commission will be voting on August 27 in Morro Bay on whether to initiate hunting/trapping of the non-native red fox north of San Francisco/Sacramento. They will also be voting on whether to almost double the trapping season on bobcats throughout the state.

SLO County to Integrate Smart Growth Principles into General Plan
On March 25, 2008, the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to consider including "Smart Growth" principles, goals, policies and strategies within the County General Plan. In February, the Planning Commission voted to approve the new policies, leaving only a vote from the Board of Supervisors standing between the County's General Plan and a more sustainable future for the Central Coast.
Support bike safety and access in SLO
ECOSLO is working with the San Luis Obispo Rotary Club and other organizations to help complete the "missing link" in the Rail Road Safety Trail. The Trail will provide bicyclists and pedestrians a safe route from Cal Poly to the Rail station and eventually past the city limits to Avila Beach via the Bob Jones Trail.
