Green Pages Program Asssistant

Position Description
The Green Pages Program Assistant shall assist staff with recruitment of business members. This includes development and implementation of all aspects of the program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Identify new business member prospects based on program criteria
•    Recruit new business members using approved strategy and guidelines
•    Answer questions regarding membership and program benefits
•    Track communication with prospects and members in database
•    Review business applications for accuracy and completeness
•    Help staff identify new recruitment strategies and program services based on prospect feedback
•    Assist with planning and execution of related events
•    Other administrative tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications
•    Currently enrolled student working towards a Business degree or related field
•    Exceptional oral communication skills
•    Highly motivated and capable of working without direct supervision
•    Experience in customer-focused business sales preferred
•    General knowledge of environmental issues and how they relate to business operations and the economy
•    Experience using database software is a plus, but not required
•    Commitment to creating a sustainable local economy

Position Type: Internship
Compensation: Commission-based (rate DOE)
Duration: At least one quarter/semester (2-3 months)
Hours: 10-20 per week
